Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is required for X-rays, you can simply drop by one of our clinics.
For all other services however, an appointment is necessary including an ultrasound at our Perth clinic.

Bookings at our Claremont clinic can be made here.

How long will it take for my doctor to get the report?

For any of our radiology services, your doctor will receive the report typically within 24 hours.

If you are seeing your doctor on the same day, please notify the receptionist who can put an urgency on the report and request our Radiologist complete it as a priority.

Where can I park?

At Claremont Imaging Central, we have two parking spots and one disabled spot out the front of the clinic. Times Square (100m away), with an entrance off St Quentins Avenue above the ANZ building, is a multiple story parking complex where you will get two hours free parking.

How long is my referral valid for?

Depending on what your referral is for, typically X-Ray and Ultrasound referrals are valid for 12 months. Referrals from a specialist are valid for 3 months.

If the referral has more than one service listed i.e. an X-ray in Perth, both procedures must be completed within seven days of each-other, otherwise another referral will be required.

Can I have my scan and injection on the same day?

Yes you can but this may not be guaranteed. However, this will incur a higher gap with a Medicare rebate only applying to one service and a potentially longer wait in the clinic. If the diagnostic ultrasound and injection are performed on different days, you will receive a Medicare rebate on both procedures.

We would suggest you discuss this option with our Medical Imaging Reception team when scheduling an appointment.

How much will my scan in Perth cost?

It depends on the type of scan you require. A CT Scan, ultrasound, and X-Ray scan at our Perth clinic all vary in pricing. We will always provide you a fee estimate at the time of scheduling.

What will I get back from Medicare?

Some procedures may be Medicare rebateable or even bulk billed, so in order to give you an accurate quote, please give us a call.

How long will I be waiting for my X-ray?

As this is a walk-in service only we cannot guarantee the wait time for an X-ray at our Perth clinic. If you phone us prior to coming into the clinic, we can advise you how many people are waiting to be seen.

Simply call our Claremont radiology clinic on 9284 6900.

Can I speak to the Radiologist about my results?

A copy of your report will be sent to the referring doctor and any specialists you request.

If you wish to discuss the results from a scan completed at our Claremont radiology clinic, a follow up appointment must be made directly with your requesting doctor.

Can I take a copy of my X-ray films home with me?

Yes, for some services. Just let the receptionist know that you are wanting to take a copy with you. An extra fee may apply.

Images and reports are always provided to the requesting doctor.
